Arriving in Las Vegas you can be forgiven for thinking you have landed on another planet. A
shimmering oasis of flashing neon lights in the middle of the desert,
this is the mecca of the gambling world. The main tourist area in Las
Vegas is The Strip. Along here you'll find the
ever-increasing number of fantasy hotels that the city is now famous
for. Each hotel has its own huge casino open 24 hours
a day and once you enter, it's virtually impossible to find your way
out. With no clocks and no windows, it's easy to lose track of time. To
get a perspective of this amazing city from above, a trip to the top of
the Stratosphere Tower is well worth a visit.
Whilst in Las Vegas you should try and catch a live show. Ever since the 1950's in the days of Frank Sinatra the stars have been performing at Las Vegas. Today huge names such as Elton John take to Las Vegas to perform. Away from the glitz and glamour of the strip, why not take a day trip to the incredible Grand Canyon. The
best way to encounter this breath-taking sight is via one of the many
helicopter tours on offer. Las Vegas really is a place like no
other!
New
York, 'The Big Apple'! We know it will take your breath away. A city
that rises hundreds of feet into the sky and a city that never sleeps,
it has an electric vitality. We've all seen the images of Manhattan Island in the movies and it is simply one of the world's most romantic and exhilarating cities.
Metropolitan New York is divided into five boroughs which cover 300 square miles. The boroughs are Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten.
The island of Manhattan, the one that we all see in the movies, is
almost always called 'New York'. It lies in the mouth of the Hudson
River and is where most visitors spend all their time. Most of Manhatan
is laid out in grid squares and finding your way around is easier than
in many other places. Avenues run north - south and streets run east -
west. Fifth Avenue runs through the centre of the city and is the dividing live between East and West street addresses.
It is essentially a pavement town and we believe that one of the best
ways to see the city is to walk - comfortable shoes are a must. Many
areas such as Wall Street, Chinatown, SoHo and Greenwich Village are best appreciated on foot.

Mickey Mouse and co have turned Orlando into the third-ranking US destination for overseas travellers, after Los Angeles and New York City. In it's first year, Disneyworld saw over 10 million visitors and it remains one of the world's top tourist destinations attracting over 20 million holidaymakers a year. Disney itself is the World's biggest amusement resort covering an area twice the size of Manhattan Island. It consists of Four main parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom and there are 3 water parks and an entertainment district (Downtown Disney). Orlando's other main attractions are the Universal owned resorts. Universal Studios is a combination of a working movie studio and a theme park with all of the rides being based on major movies such as Terminator 2, Men in Black and Back to the Future. For white knuckle rides and rollercoasters Universal Islands of Adventure is a must. It is right next door to Universal Studios and is full of fantastic rides such as Spiderman and the Hulk. Seaworld is also a major draw and for those fancying some water based action there is Wet & Wild. Ultimately the theme parks are the main reason for visiting Orlando but if you venture away from Disney etc there are other places to go visit. Kennedy Space centre is a great day out and Orlando is less than an hour from the coast making it a great destination to combine with a beach holiday on either the Atlantic or Gulf Coast.
